Deputy Head of the Hamas political office Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook expressed his movement’s refusal to participate in negotiations with Israel organised by US Secretary of State John Kerry. Marzook stressed that Hamas has not and will not coordinate with the Palestinian Authority regarding negotiations. The Hamas official said that the American and Israeli governments have taken a position which works to divide the Palestinian people. He added that the moves adopted by Kerry to resume the Palestinian-Israeli negotiations, pave the way for suspending efforts exerted to achieve Palestinian reconciliation. He stated that the Hamas leadership will continue to work towards Palestinian reconciliation. Marzook also denied that the Fatah party was an enemy to Hamas, as they both have a common goal of Palestinian unity.
