Palestinian group Hamas has called on all factions to unite and form a new resistance strategy to defend Palestinians rights. In a statement issued on Thursday, the political party condemned a meeting that took place in Ramallah earlier this week between Palestinian Liberation Organisation representatives and Israeli politicians, describing it as a "form of normalisation" with Israel. Hamas went on to say that such meetings "provide a cover for the occupation to continue," and are a way of "beautifying the face of occupation." Fatah and other Palestinian groups have already condemned last Sunday's meeting. The Israeli delegation to the gathering – which was organised by the Geneva Initiative group – included members of the Likud and Shas, rabbis, political consultants and municipal council members.
