The area surrounding German parliament in Berlin was reopened after a brief isolation as a "suspicious suitcase" found earlier was proved to be safe, said the police on Monday afternoon.
The area was cordoned off after a "suspicious suitcase" was found in front of the parliament building at 15:45 local time, but the owner of the suitcase appeared shortly thereafter, a police spokeswoman told Xinhua.
The suitcase was eventually proved to be safe and the area was reopened, the spokeswoman said.
