An official statement by foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council denounced the continuous interference of Hezbollah's militias in Syria. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) - which includes Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain - invited the Shiite military group to stop their inclusion in Syria's civil war as they believe it will be an obstacle in resolving the crisis, and preventing the Geneva 2 conference. The council expressed its "deep concern" about the implications of the Syrian crisis on the security and political situation in Lebanon, and renewed its demand to distance and prevent any Lebanese party from interfering. GCC welcomed the results of Friends of Syria meeting, which took place in Doha June 22, to help confront the brutal crimes and attacks taking place in the country.
