Gaza’s Interior Ministry says it has taken a number of security measures ahead of Malaysian Prime Minister Mohamed Naguib's visit to the region. In a statement, the ministry said it was keen to cooperate with local journalists and media channels, adding that the Palestinian journalists can portray a positive image to the delegation. It called on Palestinian citizens and drivers to cooperate with the security forces and traffic police to show the civilised image of the Palestinians. The government announced that a number of streets and crossings will be closed to aid passage of the Malaysian delegation. Gaza’s media office confirmed that the Malaysian officials would be involved in a number of events in Gaza, in addition to meeting senior government officials.
