Former United Nations Secretary General Botros Botros Ghaly has criticised as biased the Human Rights Watch (HRW) report about the dispersal of the Rabaa el-Adaweya sit-in in August 2013.
He added that the organisation adopted the view point of the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) group and turned a blind eye over the numerous violations of the terrorist group.
Ghaly said the protesters did not abide by the law and violated the rights of thousands of local residents, "a matter totally ignored by the HRW," he pointed out.
He asserted that the dispersal of the MB protest camps was according to the law, adding that the protesters were warned to leave the sit-ins but they refused.
On Tuesday, the New York based watchdog issued a 186-page report about the dispersal of six demonstrations in Egypt between July 5 and August 17, 2013.
Many rights activists suggested that the report was politically motivated after preventing the executive director of the HRW and another US staff member from entering the country on Monday.
