
Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry received on Thursday Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers in Sinai David M. Satterfield, currently on a visit to Cairo.
During the meeting, Satterfield extended condolences to Shoukry in the wake of the latest terror attacks that hit Sinai, lauding in this regard Cairo’s efforts to confront terrorism and extremism, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said in press statements.
Satterfield’s visit to Egypt is his last as the head of the Multinational Force, since his tenure ends in August. On that score, he expressed thanks to Cairo for the support it has been providing to the force.
Meanwhile, Shoukry commended the key and pivotal role of the multinational force, noting that it was efficient and professional in its mission to preserve peace in Sinai.
