London - Arabstoday

Four filmmakers have released without charge after being arrested by members of the public for filming in front of a governmental building. In an interview with Arabstoday, Judge Mohamed Aldkhamisi said: "the members of the public do not belong to any political party, but they believed that filming a governmental building could harm Egypt's interest. They arrested them and they were transferred to the prosecution service for further investigation. "During their interrogation, the filmmakers said that they were filming short stories about the lives of a bus driver, an ambulance driver and a hearse driver. I consequently decided to release them as they did not commit any crime and had all the permissions to film." The Egyptian Front for Creativity claimed that the people who arrested the filmmakers were members of the Muslim Brotherhood on their Facebook page. The Muslim Brotherhood spokesman claims that the party is not aware of this incident.
