
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iraq's Kurdish region president Masoud Barzani discussed the process of liberalization of the Iraqi city of Mosul from ISIS.
The two sides discussed the political developments in the region, especially Syria, as well as the results of the recent visit of Turkish Prime Minister Ben Ali Yildirim to the Iraq's region, Barzani's office in Erbil said in a statement.
The statement added that the two sides also reviewed the political developments in Syria, the ongoing Geneva negotiations, and the reflection of the changed international balances on the region and the relations between Turkey and the region.
The two sides also discussed liberalization of Mosul city in Nineveh province from ISIS. Erdogan reiterated his support for the region in its war against ISIS.
