The member in the executive committee in the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) Saeb Erekat has denied accusations directed to him by the Israeli former foreign minister Tsebe Levine. The latter has stated she held illegal sexual relations with Palestinian officials including Erekat and Yasser Abd Rabo and has threatened to publish recorded videos proving her allegations. Erekat said in his interview that "It's not an accusation; it’s a tendentious allegation by individuals with no morals. The news published on Arabic and Lebanese websites are secretly working for Israeli bodies." He also revealed that "he has contacted Israeli officials immediately after hearing the news, who confirmed that Levine did not make such declarations". He added: "We know that we will pay a high price for going to the United Nations, but we didn’t expect such allegations to breach our morals. This just increases our struggles for gaining Eastern Jerusalem and Palestinian refugees' rights."
