The Egyptian Railway Authority (ERA) denied media reports circulated about the derailment of a train on Abu Qir in Alexandria.
In a statement released on Sunday, the ERA described those reports as totally groundless; asserting the movement on the Abu Qir line is going on normally and smoothly without any malfunctions.
Also, the ERA urged media outlets to seek accuracy in carrying news and contact the source to ensure the authenticity of the news for ensuring passengers' safety and maintaining the railway facility that serves a wide range of citizens.
