On March 23, 2017, the Embassy of Japan in Iraq would like to clarify that the news regarding changing its immigration procedures for Iraqi citizens as reported by some media outlets is untrue. The Embassy of Japan in Iraq confirms that the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not issued any new statement concerning the issue recently.
