Egyptian Central Security Forces foiled an attempt to infiltrate the Israeli border south of the Rafah crossing and the Kerem Bou Shalom by three African migrants, security sources told Arabstoday. The three Ethiopian men – named Kalil Mohammed Sultan, aged 23, 22-year-old Adabi Lantos and Zallmy Hill Anoun, aged 23 - were arrested while trying to cross the border fence. The Ethiopian embassy was contacted in Cairo after the migrants were examined in Rafah Central Hospital. They had sustained no injuries. The men admitted they were trying to enter Israel in search of job opportunities, having paid smuggling gangs $1,500 each to reach the border from Rafah to Taba, according to sources.
