Egypt's president Mohammed Morsi has issued a decree appointing Plenipotentiary Minister Omar Amer and Chancellor Mustafa Fahmi as presidency spokesmen. The duo are replacing Yasser Ali, who will take up his new role as head of cabinet think-tank Information and Decision Support Centre (IDSC) from March. News of the minor reshuffle was confirmed in a statement from the presidential palace. Both Amer and Fahmi have served as senior diplomats for the Egyptian government. Amer was Egyptian Deputy Ambassador in Washington and recently joined the Office of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs at the European Union Partnership Convention. Fahmi was political adviser to the Egyptian embassy in Rome.
