The Egyptian Foreign Minister, Mohamed Kamel Amr has condemned the bombing of an Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church in Misrata, Libya which killed two Egyptian citizens working in the church, and wounded two others. In an update on the official Facebook page of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kamel Arm expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims, demanding that the Libyan government investigates the circumstances of the bombing and brings the perpetrators to justice. In a press statement, the spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Amr Rushdie said that the embassy's consul in Tripoli, Tariq Dahroug left for Misrata as soon as the embassy was informed of the incident. Dahroug inspected the blast site and met Father Markos Zaghloul. He is currently meeting security authorities in the city to help with the investigation. Staff at the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli have contacted the Interior and Foreign Ministries to hold urgent discussions about improving security arrangements around Coptic churches in Libya.
