Egypt’s mufti condemns Shiites killings in Giza

Egypt’s Mufti Dr Shawki Abdel Karim Alam has condemned the killings of four Shiites in Giza, stressing that "Islam does not permit such behaviour." The mufti warned that such actions are aimed at "fuelling sectarian sedition" in Egypt, and may "push the country into an endless wave of violence." He stressed the need to keep unity in the country and to pay attention to serious threats that threaten the country.
