Cairo – Akram Ali

The Egyptian foreign minister, Mohammed Amr, has announced that once the authorities have received the names of the wanted people belonging to the ousted regime of late Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, they will then add them to the list of people banned from travel as well as freezing their money. He pointed out that a number of required technical procedures are currently being carried out to hand them over to the Libyan authorities. This came during a meeting between Amr and members of the Arab Affairs Committee in parliament, headed by Mohammed Saeed Idris, who praised the performance of the Egyptian foreign ministry and its members, stressing his pride in the role of the ministry in the "restoration and activation of Egypt's foreign relations". Amr, during the meeting, praised that the moves by Egypt to enhance cooperation with Libya and Sudan in the framework of the “Golden Triangle”. He also brought up the issue of Libyans affiliated to Gaddafi’s regime living in Egypt who  are wanted by the authorities of the Libyan national transitional council.
