
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry held a tripartite meeting with his Italian counterpart Paulo Gentiloni and Algerian Minister for Maghreb and African Affairs Abdelkader Messahel on the situation in Libya.
In statements on Thursday, Spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aati said Shoukry reiterated Egypt's support for the Libyan parliament and government, as well as the UN-mediated dialogue sessions, now held in Morocco.
Shoukry stressed the urgent need to fight terrorism, saying there is no conflict between fighting terror and supporting the ongoing dialogue sessions to form a government of national unity in Libya.
The meeting probed also ways of helping the Libyan government to shape a bright future for the Libyan people.
