EAPD launches scheme on training 100 diplomats

The Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) launched on Sunday a scheme on training 100 diplomats from 40 African countries.
Launched under the rubric “diplomats of the 21st century and the economic diplomacy,” the scheme came as part of the EAPD strategy to support the African cadres through training courses in various developmental fields.
EAPD Secretary General Hazem Fahmy said the program aims at honing the skills of the diplomats to help enhance inter-African trade exchange.
The scheme comes as part of the EAPD role since it was launched in 2014. Since then, it organized 230 courses for 6877 trainees in different fields such as health, irrigation, agriculture, security, renewable sources, and combating corruption.
EAPD was established within the framework of the Egyptian administration's vision to deepen its ties with Africa, along with boosting Cairo's efforts in implementing the sustainable development agenda 2063, agreed upon by the African leaders and the UN sustainable development agenda 2030.
