The chairman of the Socialist Progressive Party, Walid Jumblatt, has commented on the death of Syrian Druze leader Sheikh Hussein al-Jarbua saying he would not “shed a single tear over a man who, until the end, supported a regime that is committing massacres against its own people.” Jumblatt also accused the late Druze leader of delivering weapons to "shabiha." Reports from al-Sweidaa Thursday morning had indicated that Sheikh Hussein al-Jarbua died on Thursday due to an illness. MP Jumblatt returned to Beirut Thursday morning after a visit to Germany and France during which he met with senior officials in both countries.
