The Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has urged the Sudanese President Omar Bashir to commit to the Addis Ababa agreement signed in the Ethiopian capital in October. For his part, the Sudanese president reviewed with the Ethiopian President’s special envoy Nessan Johannes the latest efforts exerted by the Sudanese government in order to put all the points agreed with Sudan's southern neighbours into effect. After the meeting, Johannes told reporters that he also gave a brief to President Bashir for a solution to the dispute between Sudan and South Sudan over the Abyei region, which was not included in the latest accord as the two countries suspended it to a later round of negotiations. Johannes also said that he agreed with President Bashir on holding two meetings bringing the latter with the Ethiopian Prime Minister and the South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Myardit.
