Defense minister asserts army's ability

Defense Minister Sedky Sobhy asserted on Saturday that the Armed Forces are over the history the protective shield of Egypt and the Arab nation.
Addressing a ceremony held to mark the July 23 revolution and the inauguration of the Mohamed Naguib military base, the minister said that the army will remain the real meaning of martyrdom.
The ceremony was attended by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, the higher commander of the Armed Forces.
Sobhy said that those who do not realize the value, strength and the ability of the army are mistaken.
He reiterated vowing to go ahead in all trust in Allah and self-confidence in the track of building better future under the luminous political leadership of the country.
"Egypt will only be protected by the strong Armed Forces and built by the hands of all Egyptians ..We are will in one trench," he said.
"We are all have one goal which is to turn Egypt to become among the advanced countries," the defense minister said, asserting the ability to do so by supporting its leadership. (MORE)
