
The iconic Tahrir Square is completely closed for the second day on Sunday as Egypt marks the fourth anniversary of the 25 January revolution that toppled president Hosni Mubarak.
At least 22 army vehicles have been deployed at the square entrances, according to MENA reporter.
The square is sealed off by barbed-wires, he said.
Armed security teams are patrolling the streets in downtown Cairo amid calls for protests to mark the fourth anniversary of the revolution.
