A bus was hit by a roadside bomb Thursday in Pakistan's Orakzai tribal region, leaving at least eight passengers dead, local authorities said. Pakistan's Dawn newspaper said the explosion in Hasanzai Bazar area also injured 20 people, 10 of them critically. The bus was traveling from Mushti Mela in central Orakzai to Kalaya when it was struck by a remotely detonated bomb, the report said. Officials said all the victims belonged to the anti-Taliban Mushti tribe. There had been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, Dawn said. China's Xinhua news agency, quoting a local media report, said the incident occurred about 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
