
FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday rose by 0.87 percent, or 56.85 points, to 6,590.64 points.
Share price of Taylor Wimpey increased by 7.70 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Berkeley Group Holdings, Barratt Developments, Royal Bank of Scotland Group and Persimmon increased by 7.19 percent, 6.90 percent, 6.43 percent and 6.21 percent respectively.
Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.40 percent, followed by Antofagasta (1.72 percent), Imperial Brands (1.27 percent), Coca-Cola HBC (1.16 percent) and British American Tobacco (1.00 percent).
