Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa warned on Friday of the repercussions of funding criminal gangs and terror groups that wreck havoc in several world countries.
Delivering a Friday sermon at Cairo’s Al Rifa'i Mosque, Gomaa underlined the importance of confronting countries that support and sponsor terrorism.
"Facing terror groups is a religious, national and humanitarian duty," Gomaa said.
Earlier in the day, Gomaa has condemned the villainous terrorist attack in which five policemen including an officer was killed after some militants opened fire at a police vehicle in Giza’s township of Badrasheen.
