The Arab League called for guarantees of non-repetition of Israeli onslaught on the blockaded Gaza Strip, especially after launching a reconstruction plan for Gaza, following the donors' conference that will be held in Cairo Sunday.
In press statements on Saturday, AL Assistant Secretary General for the Palestinian Affairs Ambassador Mohamed Sobeih underlined the importance of the conference, which will complete Egypt's efforts to suspend the recent Israeli onslaught on the Gaza Strip.
Israel should not put barriers before the entry of materials related to Gaza Reconstruction, he said, adding that Israel has imposed restrictions in the past after the conference, which was held in Sharm el-Sheikh.
He further pointed out to the important role that could be played by the international community and the UN in this respect.
The Gaza Strip continues to suffer the repercussions of the damage in the aftermath of Israeli attacks, he added.
