Algerian army discovers one heavy machine gun on border with Libya

Algerian army seized, Wednesday, one heavy machine gun and two radio sets, in Ouargla, said the National Defence Ministry in a statement.
"As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the effective use of intelligence, an Army detachment in Ouargla (4th Military Region, 800km south of Algiers) has discovered on April, 19th a 14.5 mm heavy machine gun and two radio sets, 80km south of Gassi Touil," the statement indicated.
"This operation, which is still underway, reflects the permanent vigilance of the Army forces and their readiness to thwart all attempts of attack against the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," added the statement.
