Algeria's Foreign Minister Mourad Medelci has accepted the invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov to visit Moscow. A statement issued by the foreign ministry on Sunday confirmed that Medelci is set for a two-day trip to Moscow on June 24 and 25. State sources said that the proposed visit lies in the framework of improving relations between Algeria and Russia, and the political consultation backed by the strategic partnership between both countries. During talks, the two Ministers will go cover all fields of bilateral cooperation and explore new opportunities to enhance relations between the two states. Several international issues are also on the agenda, including developments on the Western Sahara situation, the events in the Sahel region, the Syrian crisis and the Middle East peace process.
