Egypt Today, egypt today Algeria: 'Intervention won't solve crisis'

Algiers - Hocine Boussalah
The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mourad Medelci stated: "Syrians hold the solution for their country's crisis, foreign military interference will evolve the situation and violence in the state." Medelci said from Tehran: "Foreign military intervention in Syria will not help in solving the problem and foreign troops shouldn’t interfere in Syrian internal affairs. Their presence will lead to more violence and more bloodshed." The President's Representative of Non-Aligned Conference hosted in Iran, said: "The Algerian government has transferred this message to both the Syrian government and opposition, we urge both sides to stop killing, show self-control and try to find a solution through constructive dialogue." The Algerian official said that his country has received more than 10 thousand refugees from Syria and pledged to take further procedures to support displaced Syrians. According to UN statistics, since demonstrations spread in Syria in March 2011, there are now more than one million displaced Syrians inside Syria and over 200,000 Syrians have fled from the war to Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon and Iraq.
