Leading member of al-Qaeda, Sheikh Harith al-Nazari, called on all Muslims refusing the oust of Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi to continue their efforts in resisting against this decision, describing it as a "great crime." In a statement issued on Monday, al-Qaeda Sheikh said that Muslims in Egypt were being killed amid Gulf’s support and the West's silence. He added that this was aimed at taking Egypt "back to the era of injustice and tyranny." He added that the killing of mujahideen in Sinai is in "cooperation with Jews, who want to block Gazan Muslims" and called on Egyptian Muslims to "remain patient."
