During the past 24 hours, the Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army, National Directorate of Security (NDS), and Coalition Forces launched 10 joint clearance operations in different provinces. According to the Afghan Ministry of Interior, as a result of these operations, six armed Taliban were killed and nine others were arrested. Additionally, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated 2210 kilos of opium, eight AK-47 assault rifles, six different types of weapons, three heavy rounds, 400 light rounds, three different types of mines, eight hand grenades, one motorcycle and two vehicles.
