Cairo - Akram Ali

The member of the Supreme Committee for the presidential elections in Egypt, Abdel Moez Ibrahim,  has stressed he has not issued any decisions concerning the NGO foreign funding case, in which 43 persons of different nationalities are accused, including 16 Americans. While discussing some complaints from a number of candidates in front of the Commission's headquarters in Heliopolis  Ibrahim said  he has  not contacted the court which was judging the case, adding that "everything that is being said in the media is untrue." Abdel Moez added in his remarks while speaking to reporters in front of the committee, "I am just an administrative director, and the court has issued its decision in accordance with the law, and if an error has occurred, it can be appealed against before the appeals court ". Addressing the question of complaints by candidates who are running for the presidential elections, Abdel Moez said, "I'm not assigned to talk about the presidential elections, and if there are any complaints, they should be submitted to the Commission to discuss ways to solve them." Abdel Moez sent a message to those who are accusing  him of collusion in lifting the travel ban on the foreign defendants in the NGO case, saying, "Fear God for what you are doing to Egypt."
