A Fatah Movement member said on Thursday that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Rami al-Hamdallah are due to visit the Gaza Strip before the holy month of Ramadan if matters were to run as scheduled.
"The date of the visit has not been determined yet," said Amin Maqboul, the secretary-general of Fatah's revolutionary council.
Speaking about the national reconciliation file, Maqboul said Fatah Central Committee member Azzam al-Ahmed is schedule to head for Gaza during the coming period to accomplish the reconciliation file and form committees concerned.
As for the security file, Maqboul said the government is to form legal and administrative committees to handle this file, as agreed upon in Cairo agreement.
Commenting on Hamas's decision to prevent staffers from receiving salaries through ATMs, Maqboul said this act is completely rejected.
