A total of 31 people were killed and 46 others wounded in separate bombings and shootings across Iraq on Tuesday, police and medical sources said.
The deadliest casualties occurred in Iraq’s volatile province of Anbar when airstrikes, artillery and mortar shelling struck several neighborhoods in the militant-seized city of Fallujah, some 50 km west of the capital Baghdad, leaving 15 people killed and 40 others wounded, a medical source from the city hospital said, reported Xinhua news agency. In addition, a barrage of mortar rounds hit the city municipal office, killing four people and wounding three others, the source said.
