
Saudi Arabia announced on Saturday the death of three Saudi military personnel and injuries of two others by Huthi attacks, Saudi Press Agency reported.
Source of the defense ministry highlighted that the case occurred as part of the repeated skirmishes between Saudi land forces along the southern border and the Huthi militias originating from Yemen. The Huthis fired mortar shells on a border control site in Jazan Region.
The source said that the troops responded immediately, inflicting grave losses to the Huthi militias and brought the Huthi rebels human losses to more than 500 in border clashes since the start of the Decisive Storm operation on March 26.
Saudi Arabia announced on April 3 the death of 2 border guards of shooting by Huthis. One day before one border guard died and 10 of his colleagues were injured in a heavy shooting from Yemeni border.
The spokesperson of the Decisive Storm military operation Brigadier Ahmed Asiri said that the border guards and Saudi army are fighting groups of rebels in Yemen who randomly shot at the Saudi borders.
