A police source informed, on Friday, that a policeman was killed, and two others were wounded in an improvised explosive device blast, south of Baghdad.
The source said that an improvised explosive device, emplaced on a roadside in Hur Rajab area exploded, today, targeting a passing police patrol, leaving one police officer killed and two others injured.
Security forces cordoned off the area of explosion, while ambulances evacuated the body to the forensic medicine department and the wounded to a nearby hospital, the source explained.
