Local security forces in North Sinai have arrested three Palestinians returning to Gaza from Cairo while in possession of “important” papers, security sources have said. The sources did not reveal the nature of these papers. The three Palestinians were arrested at a security checkpoint in al-Alrish. A statement by the North Sinai Security Directorate names the detainees as Ihab B. A. and Abdulrahman E. A. who were arrested for entering the country illegally. The third detainee, Moussa F. S. was arrested for remaining in the country after the expiry of his residence permit. All three are Palestinian nationals.
