3 killed in Tripoli in Hezbollah related attack

Masked gunmen attacked a Hezbollah-close family residence on Wednesday around midnight. The gunmen used machine guns to launch an attack on the Mouri family in Mahala Zahrieh, Tripoli, north Lebanon. The family are known to be close to Shiite Islamic group Hezbollah. Hossam al Mouri was killed during the attack as well as relative Fayyad Abdullah. The area of Mahala Zahrieh is on high alert now following the attack, with anger dominating residents following the death of al Mouri. Lebanon's army has cordoned off checkpoints and has tightened security in the region.
