An Egyptian court has sentenced 21 suspects to death for the rioting and stampede in which dozens were killed last February. Seventy-four football fans lost their lives after clashes between al-Ahly and al-Masry supporters at Port Said football stadium. As the judge delivered his verdict, families of those killed began chanting "Allah-u-Akbar" (God is great) and "long live justice," inside the courtroom. A large crowd of Ahly fans, gathered outside the club's ground in Zamalek, Cairo erupted into celebrations with fireworks and chanting upon hearing the court's verdict. However, the families of defendants in Port Said vowed to break into the prison and release the defendants.
