Israeli occupation forces have officially notified 100 Palestinian families in the al-Aghwar area in the West Bank to evacuate their homes by Wednesday, under the force of law. The head of al-Maleh and al-Madared village collective council Aref Daraghmah said the evacuation orders were given as Israel prepares to hold a military exercise in the area. "The evacuation of 100 families from al-Aghwar means that 1,000 citizens will leave their homes for security reasons invented by the occupying forces," Daraghma said, adding that "the time limit given did not even exceed 48 hours." The council chief has called on international and humanitarian institutions to intervene and freeze the decision, which he has described as "inhumane."
