
The World Health Organization (WHO) lauded here Saturday Kuwait's generous donation of USD 1.5 million to the victims of the violence in northern Iraq.
A letter from WHO's Director General Margaret Chan to Kuwait Permanent Delegate at the United Nations Ambassador Jamal Al-Ghunaim, expressed the organization's sincere gratitude towards Kuwait's support, stressing that the money would be used to help those affected by the violence.
Al-Ghunaim told KUNA that Kuwait is always keen to provide assistance to WHO, adding that his country will continue to do so in the future.
