
A malaria-infected man is in fair and stable condition after being transferred to a specialized hospital in Sohag, said the heath ministry undersecretary.
Mohamed Abdel Aal added the 28-year-old man has shown the symptoms of the disease after returning from his work in Halayib and Shalateen area.
"Some 55 people who directly came in close contact with the patient have been tested for signs of malaria," he said, adding that all of them tested negative for the disease.
All the preemptive measures have been taken to prevent any possible outbreak.
