Russian construction workers hospitalized with food poisoning

Some 350 Russian construction workers have been hospitalized with suspected food poisoning in St. Petersburg, the regional emergencies service said. The service told the Russian news agency RIA Novosti that the workers were taken by ambulances to St. Petersburg's Botkin Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital after becoming ill. A source in the city prosecutor's office said they suspect the food poisoning was caused by tainted chicken. The workers were employed in the construction of a new terminal at St. Petersburg's Pulkovo airport.
