
Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) has provided Palestinian hospitals in the Gaza Strip with quantities of emergency medicines in a response to Gaza's Ministry of Health hospitals that suffer acute shortage of medicines and medical supplies in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression.
Qatar Emergency Relief Fund donated QR 2 million to import urgently medicines to Gaza's hospitals, including seven varieties of essential medicines totaling 40.300 pharmaceutical packages are indispensable in emergency services and surgical procedures .
This procurement will contribute in raising the capacity of the five major hospitals in the sector to respond to the current emergency situation and save thousands.
In this context, Director of the Qatari Red Crescent office, Dr Akram Nassar stated that the provision of these medicines to the hospitals will help to fill an important part of the deficit in these categories and will ease the aggravation of the crisis resulting from the fall of thousands of the injured Palestinians and their urgent need for medical relief.
