Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) has launched an interactive campaign to recruit new volunteers for the Sixth Disaster Management Camp to be held from March 31 to 9 April 2015 at the Marine Scout Camp, Al Khor.
The campaign targets 300 to 700 Qatari and Non-Qatari young volunteers from age 18 to 40, QRC said Wednesday in a media statement.
A team of QRC volunteers and medical staff, stationed at different places in Qatar, will raise awareness about QRC's mission, charitable work, volunteerism, and the importance of the Disaster Management Camp.
The sixth DMC will be held in co-operation with many Qatari and international institutions with the aim of building a pool of well-trained volunteers, QRC said.
Hundreds of volunteers have graduated from such camps organised by QRC in 2006, 2007, 2012, 2013, and 2014.
