Qatar Charity (QC) will organize tomorrow (Tuesday) an international campaign to assist 10 million Syrians refugees and internally displaced. It is held under the slogan "Syria: Pain and Hope" within the 'Syria cry' Initiative that was launched by the Charity at the beginning of the crisis. Qatar Charity CEO Yusuf Bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari said at a press conference today that the international campaign is being launched during the last ten days of Ramadan to open the door for benevolent donors to contribute to alleviate the suffering and the worsening humanitarian calamity of the ten million Syrians displaced people and refugees in neighboring countries. He added that the Syrian people who are living in difficult circumstances such as lack of food, shelter, medicine and education and health, are waiting for a kind gesture form benevolent donors to stand beside them in their harsh conditions. Al-Kuwari noted that Qatar Charity will launch new aid projects during the campaign to complete the previous projects in favor of the Syrian displaced persons and refugees. These projects include food, shelter, education and medical treatment and wounded people as well as projects for Eid clothing and help for the students, in addition to buying ambulances and paramedic training. The campaign allows donations from outside via the international account number (001--111111-003) as well as the unified bank account, and it receives in-kind contributions. The outcome of campaign will be announced in media and on social networking sites and will be broadcasted live on the twenty-seventh of Ramadan on a number of TV channels from inside and outside Qatar, including Aljazeera Mubasher. CEO of Qatar Charity said that donors can donate via the website of the campaign (QCHARITY.ORG / SYRYA), which has Arabic, English and French pages, or via SMS through 92060 or 97289 to donate an amount QR 300 every time. He added that donors can also give their donations to the QC collecting points in commercial complexes as well as to its branches in the various locations in Qatar and can also call the hotline (44,667,711) which will operate from 21 to 27 Ramadan.
