Right after her mother gave birth to Raneem, the baby suffered from weakness in her right arm, Al-Madinah newspaper reported on Tuesday. The father, Ahmed Al-Zahrani, accused the gynecologist at King Abdulaziz Hospital in Jeddah of pulling his daughter’s hand too hard during labor. The doctor denied. “I asked for a detailed medical report about the birth. I received a report that did not point out any medical errors or problems. When I tried to see the administrators, they were not available,” said Al-Zahrani. He demanded an investigation, adding that this was not the first time such a problem occurred. Previously, the hospital caused a similar medical error to his son, whose arms are now paralyzed.
