
The Parliamentary Committee on Health, Social Affairs, and Labor discussed in its meeting with officials from Health Ministry, including Undersecretary Dr. Khalid Al-Sahlawi, on Sunday the ministry's preparations to combat coronavirus. During the meeting, the committee's members listened to a detailed explanation from the ministry's officials on coronavirus, informing the committee at the same time about current two cases of infection in Kuwait, MP Saadoun Hammad said. Also, MP Hammad added that the ministry affirmed its readiness in fully dealing with any coming cases from overseas to prevent spread of the virus, mentioning at the same time number of those infected with the virus in neighboring countries. In addition, he noted that the ministry submitted a report to the committee on most important procedures to combat coronavirus, indicating that Health Ministry officials asserted that the status in Kuwait is safe and stable, and that it is closely following the situation in order to prevent any possible spread of the virus.
