
Nursing Syndicate Chairperson Kawther Mahmoud said onTuesday that she briefed, over the phone, the chairman of the Doctors SyndicateKhairy Abdel-Dayem on the attempts by some of the board members to convincenurses to participate in the doctors' strike, which was rejected by the NursingSyndicate.Abdel-Dayem has pledged not to interfere in the nurses' affairs and he will issueinstructions to the syndicate's council on this matter, she added.Mahmoud said that the nursing syndicate was formally negotiating with the FinanceMinistry to increase the infection and the medical profession allowances, addingthat any financial advantage for the medical teams would cover nursing teams.
